Attention: The safety of our adopters and volunteers is our highest priority. HART has resumed adoption events at the Chantilly Petsmart. We ask that adopters that are not fully vaccinated wear a mask while outside and that all adopters, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while indoors.

Roscoe M - Adopted on 7/21/2022

Age:  About 2 years
Gender:  Male
Breed:  Hound Mix

Roscoe is a gentle, quiet soul who adores everyone he meets, human and canine. He's a cuddle bunny who loves to be near his people and is in absolute bliss with his head resting on any available lap. He's housebroken and crate trained. At night he is happy to sack out on a dog bed near a human bed. He sleeps through the night and doesn't stir until humans get up. He is submissive with other dogs and shows no resource guarding. He's been super sweet with the kids he's met at the adoption event. He almost never barks and is a minimal shedder. His default setting is chill and relaxed.

Roscoe is a natural gentleman who is beginning to learn basic commands in his foster home, like sitting for treats. He'd benefit from a patient, reassuring owner who will continue teaching him. His leash manners are improving but still a work in progress. He hardly pulls at all but can be more focused on what he wants to sniff and explore than where his human is walking.

Roscoe would love a home where someone is always around. He'd be thrilled to have a canine companion to play with but would also do fine as an only dog. He makes an outstanding telework buddy and companion - just put a dog bed near your desk and he'll be content to spend the day by your side
