Monk s a very fun and loving dog. Here is what his foster parents told us: Monk is a great dog. He's cute and fluffy, beautiful coat, loves people, active and loves to play but sleeps all night.

He plays very well with our current dog who is a young 60 pound male. They love to play together including playing with toys and they run around and chase each other. They would like to play all the time but we can get them relax and chill inside. Monk will also calm down when sitting with us, he likes to cuddle. Rope toys are his favorite and he likes to chase down balls (working on the fetch part). He is 95% house trained. The only accidents are when we waited a little too long to let him. He is very food motivated but not aggressive or guarding with it. We can pick up his food from the bowl and hand feed it to him with no issues. We can move around him while he is eating with no issues. He is learning to walk very well on a leash. He is very intelligent and trainable. In just a few days he learned sit and lay down. He hasn't tried running out the front door but he does seem like given his exuberance he may try to get out the doors so more training will help with this (like a sit and stay when doors are going to be opened). Monk is perfect in the crate. We have 2 children that he is great with (ages 13 and 15). Monk is an absolute joy!" Monk would be a great companion for an active person or family with or without another dog.
