Every effort is made to bring our dogs to the listed event each week, but due to volunteer or foster commitments Sarah may not be at every event. To find out if Sarah will be at this event, contact KristenD.
Sarah is a sweet girl who is timid at first but then her curiosity gets the best of her and she sneaks up for some sniffs and pets. Treats are the way to her heart. She loves people and other dogs. She is housebroken and wants nothing more then to be loved on and someone to love her back. Sarah once lived in a home and was even taught a few basic commands. When her owner ended up in a wheelchair unable to care for her she found herself homeless. She lived at an outdoor shelter for a long time before she was brought to our attention and we knew we had to help turn her life around.
Sadly Sarah's life had yet another twist as we discovered she had a congenital heart defect a (PDA). We are in the process of having her evaluated for surgery that her vet thinks will have a good chance of giving her a long and successful life. We are looking for a foster or adoptive home to see her through this process. She is so loving and sweet and shows no outward signs of any heart problems. She just wants a chance to be a dog, to love and be loved after all the hurtles and heartbreaks life has thrown at her.
