Fiona was rescued by HART all the way from South Carolina. This sweet, shy girl spent her days in a shelter waiting on a glimmer of hope. On a bright, sunny day, the HART van arrived, and Fiona and her fellow canine companions were whisked away with their trembling hearts filled with the promise of safety and the prospect of forever homes! When the time came for the dogs to be tested for heartworm, all tested negative...except for Fiona. Fiona will undergo her 3 month life-saving treatment and is seeking a quiet home. We doubt Fiona ever had anyone to love her or anyone to call her their baby. She still has a lot to learn, but she is learning quickly! Fiona likes to run in the yard but will quickly run back to her familiar space. She is learning to walk on a leash and gets along with other dogs. She is a gorgeous girl and weighs 47 pounds. This calm, shy girl needs a patient person or family who will give her time to decompress, recover, and ultimately thrive. If you already have a dog, this will likely expedite her transition into the household and help build her confidence. Fiona is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on her vaccines!
