Meet Maya, a gentle and loving 3-year-old husky with a heart full of affection. Originally from Iran, Maya's journey has been both challenging and inspiring. After being abandoned and spending over two years in a shelter, she finally found a fresh start in the USA this past August.
Maya is a people-loving dog who thrives on companionship, enjoying the company of both adults and children. Despite her husky heritage, she has a calm and low-energy demeanor, making her an easy-going companion. She has a playful side too-she gets along well with cats, though she's still working on her interactions with other dogs. Fortunately, she's improving with training every day.
Already vaccinated, chipped, and house trained, Maya is ready to be your loyal friend and shower you with love. Her favorite activities include eating, sleeping, and long, sniff-filled walks. She would also love to cuddle with you on the couch for hours! Recently, Maya was diagnosed with inherited glaucoma, which has affected her right eye and caused permanent vision loss. She is currently on preventative eye drops and may experience issues with her other eye in the future. Through it all, she remains a trooper and is likely to adapt well thanks to her resilient spirit.
