Do you need a best friend for your cat? Bilby is searching for another cat for cuddles, wrestling, grooming, and general adorable cat best friendship. Bilby is the last of five brothers to be adopted and is searching for a new cat who will let him be their shadow.

Bilby was born to a feral mom who did a great job teaching him that people are not to be trusted. While he thinks people are useful for feeding him, tossing treats across the floor, and wiggling a wand toy, he does not think they are trustworthy enough to give him pets. Bilby has made tremendous progress in his socialization and has exceeded his foster parents' expectations. He loves to hang out with the human and animal members of the family on top of cat trees, on chairs, on the back of the couch, or in bags of laundry. When he has a social best friend near him, he is willing to consider human touch and affection. He will watch the other cats get pets and neck scratches with great interest, but he hasn't been brave enough to ask for them himself yet. With a patient adopter and a social best friend, we think he will figure out that humans can be great things to cuddle with, too.

Bilby's ideal home has at least one other cat who wants a cat best friend to be obsessed with and patient cat-savvy people who are willing to let him continue to build trust on his timeline. Bilby can also be adopted with Priscilla, his new friend, or another cat from HART.
