Aretha

Aretha is a gentle and loving and graceful dog. Her foster parents cannot say enough good things about her. She loves meeting new people and is good with their other dogs. She was dumped at a high kill shelter in the south along with her 9 puppies. She was an incredibly attentive mom, and all her puppies went to another rescue - leaving her behind! We could not tolerate the thought that she was going to be euthanized so HART rescued her just in time. In fact, thanks to Pilots and Paws, one of their pilots volunteered to fly her to us free of charge (Thank You Pilots and Paws for your dedication to getting animals to rescues!). She was as wonderful on the plane ride as she is in a home: quiet an unassuming but very loving!! She is house trained and good on a leash with excellent house manners. After birthing and caring for so many puppies, it is her time to find a permanent and loving home. Let us know if you would like to meet Aretha.
