Every effort is made to bring our dogs to the listed event each week, but due to volunteer or foster commitments Maggie GR may not be at every event. To find out if Maggie GR will be at this event, contact Charlene.
It's so hard on a dog when a loving owner dies. Even harder when the relatives are coldly indifferent to whether the dog lives or dies, and can't be bothered to take them to a shelter. Such was the case for Maggie. After his owner died unexpectedly, Maggie, another dog (Elmo), and a puppy were left alone in the house. A kind neighbor fed them and assumed relatives would soon come and take the dogs. The relatives came all right. They loaded a truck with anything of value, took the puppy, and abandoned Maggie and her companion, Elmo, with the front door wide open and a busy road just feet from the door. Fortunately, before the abandoned dogs left the house, the kind neighbor secured them and called a rescue.
In a word, Maggie is the best! One volunteer after another fell in love with her after just saying hello to Maggie for the first time. Maggie has never met a stranger. She is wonderful with children, adults, and all creatures. Her foster family adores her and for good reason: She is a gem!! She loves getting attention and affection from the children in the family, but she is not pushy. Instead, she waits patiently for people to pet her. Because she is so irresistible, she never has to wait long.
Maggie is fully housetrained and never chews on anything inappropriate. She has perfect house manners. If you want to meet Miss Maggie please let us know.
