Benny is approximately one year old, 40-ish pounds, and checking every box on the "good dog" list. This handsome guy was found as a stray, but you'd never know it. Benny settled into foster life like he'd been reading the manual all along.
He quickly mastered the dog door (we're convinced he has a PhD), hasn't had a single accident in the house (knock on hardwood... ), rides like a dream in the car, sleeps through the night like a college kid on summer break, and is respectful around food. Still, lest we forget most the time, he's IS an older puppy, so lessons are a daily thing. Thankfully, he takes corrections well and seems to grasp and respect the rules of the house very quickly.
He's currently living with a 3-year-old high energy Border Collie, a 9-year-old queen bee who values her personal space, and three donkeys. They all love him. Yes, even the donkeys. He's learning "sit," working on his leash skills, and continues to impress us every day.
Sweet, smart, thoughtful, and incredibly easy to love, Benny would do great with other dogs, kids, cats, and even equine such as horses (or donkeys, of course!)
Basically, if you're looking for a best friend to get outdoors with and hang out with the fam, Benny has submitted an excellent application.
