Padma (foster mom calls her Honey) is a young Beverly Hills Chihuahua looking mix with upright ears and huge personality. The easiest way to describe her is to say that she is not a dog, but a child inside a dog's body. Exceptionally smart, funny in her antics, sneaky when you least expect it, she is super affectionate, while being mischievous and always loving. The fact that she resembles a house-elf called Dobby from Harry Potter is not lost on many who meet her. She indeed is a magical creature devoted and loyal to the one person/family who will be her owner. She is active when you are active and she makes a very convincing couch potato, when you just don't feel like doing anything. Honestly, how often do you meet a dog who'll watch TV with you every night? She barks at neighborhood squirrels on your walks to then curl up next to a cat as if he were a fluffy pillow. She will fetch until cows come home and do tricks for any treats you might offer. Currently, she is learning to walk on her hind legs! And yes, she will bring you tennis balls and an occasional sock or slipper because seeing you happy fills her with joy too. Regrettably, she was determined not to be overly good with kids since she tends to overwhelm them with her rough style of puppy play. Otherwise, she gets along great with other dogs, is crate-trained and house-trained, and will make someone a super devoted and beautiful companion.
