Oscar is a gorgeous, sweet, teddy bear of a guy. His mother, HART dog Odessa was a stray that traveled to a strange dog house in the country and gave birth to a large litter in the bitter cold. All the puppies were saved, but only these 2 and mom are with HART. His mother is a springer spaniel mix who weighs about 40 pounds. We think his dad was a Newfoundland or Newfoundland mix. Oscar will probably be around 60 or 70 pounds when grown. He is smart, cuddly, calm, and affectionate. He does need an owner who can kindly make it clear that the people are the boss. He tested his foster family a little bit when he first came, but since he has seen that we are in charge, he has been a perfect gentleman. Oscar gets along well with children and other dogs, and his previous foster home had cats, which seemed OK to him too! Until he is well trained, we are recommending that he get adopted by a family with no young children. He is about 90% housebroken, knows how to sit, and is learning other basic commands. He is doing well with leash training, is good in the car and in the bath tub. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night. He is already neutered and micro-chipped. Oscar is a darling, super fuzzy puppy waiting for the perfect family to call his own. Please come meet him!
